For mandatory trainings with a set validity period it, would be useful when exempting someone to set a time period that the exemption runs for. For instance, if someone joins the organization and has a mandatory training from their previous job that lasts another six months, it would be very useful to be able to set the training to be valid for the six months and then have the exemption automatically remove itself. The member of staff would then fit into the normal renewal cycle.

Try, when setting the date of the exemption, set it from the original date of the activity that has exempted it. Then they will fall into the renewal cycle. OR import a completed registration to avoid the use of the word "exempt" with the date of learning completion.
