The option to turn off push notififcations/emails to specific users and their managers for outstanding learning etc. For example if someone is on long term leave, to almost 'freeze' their learning. Rather than what we have to do now which is cancel all learning
Hello,
Thank you for submitting this idea and for sharing the context around your use case.
To help us better understand and explore this further, could you please clarify whether the core need is:
Suppressing notifications (push/email) for specific users and their managers, or
Pausing/delaying learning assignments for users who are temporarily unavailable (e.g., on long-term leave)?
These are slightly different functionalities, and understanding which is more critical will help us assess feasibility and potential impact.
If your primary concern is around notifications, it's worth noting that administrators can currently disable email notifications for individual users by navigating to:
Admin > Workforce > People > [Select User] > User Settings > Disable Email Notifications
However, this does not pause or defer learning assignments themselves, which may still appear as overdue or trigger other system behaviours.
If you're looking for a way to temporarily "freeze" a learner’s progress without cancelling their learning, we’d love to hear more about how you envision that working (e.g., duration, visibility to managers, reporting implications).
Thanks again for raising this. Looking forward to your thoughts!
Best wishes,
Kirstie
